WHO WE ARE
For over 128 years, the Visiting Nurse Service of New York (VNSNY) has been committed to meeting the health care needs of New Yorkers with compassionate, high-quality home health care.
Founded in 1893, VNSNY…
is the largest not-for-profit home- and community-based health care organization in the United States, serving the five boroughs of New York City, and Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester Counties. Today, VNSNY focuses on promoting the health and well-being of patients and families by providing expert, cost-effective care in their homes and communities, allowing them to remain in safe, comfortable settings.
We offer a wide range of services, programs, and health plans to meet the diverse needs of our patients, members, and clients from before birth to the end of life, regardless of their ability to pay. In 2020, VNSNY–together with our generous supporters and community partners–provided over $53 million in charitable care and community benefit programs. These wide-ranging programs improved the lives of tens of thousands of New Yorkers, young and old.
VNSNY continues to draw strength from this mission to care for vulnerable individuals and families. We strive to be the most significant, best-in-class, not-for-profit community-based health care organization, providing superior care coordination and health care services to vulnerable New Yorkers across a broad regional footprint.
